The Florida Renaissance Festival is coming to Virginia Key Beach Park (4020 Virginia Beach Drive) starting this Saturday, January 9th. The event takes place every weekend for three consecutive weeks (ends Jan. 24rth). Whether you enjoy watching Renaissance Court Dancers or the Washing Well Wenches, there is definitely something for everyone. Cheer Battling Knights, as they mount their steeds, lower their visors, aim their lances and charge at full tilt. There are barrel rides, musical performers, live chess matches, giant roasted turkey legs and plenty of RenFaeries. Take a stroll through some interesting shops that feature glass blowing, wooden toys, unique pottery and clothing. Get into a Renaissance state-of-mind and join the fun!
